Bottled water is now available in many parts of the world. However! make sure when you buy it that the seals on the cap are intact – many people have found that they have bought what they thought was clean water – and then suffered.
Often people forget that many digestive problems are caused from ingesting from bacteria and infection on their hands, which is transferred to food. Make sure that you carry ‘biodegradable soap’ or wipes, which you use to clean your hands before preparing food or eating. Make sure that food is washed in SAFE CLEAN WATER or cooked in boiling water, otherwise you will almost certainly contract stomach upsets. A little care always taken in these things can really make the difference between surviving in the wild and coming home by ambulance.
