Take a First Aid Kit on your next holiday!
Comprehensive, lightweight & waterproof kit -
ideal for travel!
This is not an average kit in an expensive velcro pack. You know the type,
look good but you don't know what half the things are for. This is an
excellent kit in a re-sealable pack. This pack has been designed for you, a
real person on holiday who might just need quality reliable items to deal with
a minor injury.
That's why the contents of this pack were selected by a Pharmacist and a
Trauma Surgeon with years of travel experience. It was designed from the
beginning to be functional and lightweight yet deal with most incidents that
can spoil a holiday, whether you are backpacking or at the beach. The first
thing we did was make it sealed and re-sealable to keep out sand and water
because you should take it with you, in your beach bag or your day bag and not
leave it behind in the room or in your tent.
Next we looked at simple injuries, scrapes, cuts, burns, splinters and
small puncture wounds. You will need to clean it, remove any objects, dress it
and then continue to keep it clean, so we included sterile swabs to clean
wounds, skin closures and non stick dressings as well as hypoallergenic tape
and antiseptic cream. We didn't forget that you might need medical splinter
forceps and a sterile scalpel as well as some disposable gloves in case the
wound is messy or is caused by something that is dangerous to you. Finally we
added a bandage and safety pins, paracetamol tablets, a strip of plasters and
of course some scissors to cut them with.
There are many cheaper alternatives but don't be fooled! If you are
going on holiday, be it apartment, hotel, safari, backpack, cruise or even a
gap year you might need first aid.
We have explained why we made our kit like we did and we are confident
that you can rely on it to deal with most minor travel injuries. If you are
visiting tropical places, camping or traveling where the standard of
healthcare is lower than the UK don't forget a sterile
medical pack.
